The Boulder Collegians are one of the most successful summer college baseball teams in America. The Collegians began playing collegiate summer baseball in 1964 and they quickly found success. From 1965 to 1980, the Collegians won four national championships, finishing runner up once and collected eight other top five finishes. The players who have played for Boulder is the who's-who of baseball: Hall of Famer Tony Gwynn, World Series hero Joe Carter, National League Rookie of the Year Bob Horner and World Series managers Joe Maddon and Terry Francona are just five of more than 100 former Boulder Collegians to reach the big leagues. Following the 2020 season, Tony Rouco took the reins of the Collegians where he has led them to four consecutive Mile High league championships (2021, 2022, 2023 and 2024).
