Home Field: Oregon Trail Park Stadium, Gering, Nebraska
Beginning play in 2018, the Pioneers start their eighth season with two Championships and four playoff appearances in their first seven seasons. Founded and owned by Mayra and Chuck Heeman in 2017, the Pioneers have averaged 1,050 fans per game since their inaugural season in 2018 and are dedicated to community service and bringing tourism to the Panhandle of Nebraska.
The Pioneers’ Head Coach is Easton Babe (Arizona Christian University).
Oregon Trail Park Stadium has been home to the Front Range League’s Western Nebraska Pioneers since its opening in May 2018. The Pioneers would go on to win the first of their three league championships that year along with two additional playoff appearances in their seven-year history.
With a capacity of 1,000 seats and an overflow lawn area, the Pioneers have averaged 1,050 in paid attendance throughout their history, consistently finishing in the top 75 in attendance among summer collegiate teams in North America. The ballpark is located at 800 13th Street in Gering, Nebraska.
