The Pueblo “Spradley” Collegians are a local based college aged team. Pueblo has had a college age team for many decades that tries to take care of their local ballplayers providing them opportunities to further develop their game during the summers in a respectful competitive atmosphere. Playing the majority of home games at Runyon Sports Complex on Hobbs Field, former home to the Western Professional Baseball Leagues’ Pueblo Dodgers. Our baseball community continues to thrive in Pueblo thanks to our many ball players and families continuing to support the kids and our game!
Hobbs Field at the RSC is one of the most historic spots in all of Pueblo. In 1934, field construction began and it was officially opened in 1938. Later that same year, Babe Ruth famously played an exhibition game on Hobbs Field.
The 90+ year facility underwent upgrades before the start of the 2023 season that included new dugouts, infield turf, safety netting on both baselines and a new scorebox that was placed on the lower level in the middle grandstands section. The capacity of Hobbs field is 1,500 and has ample parking, a concession stands and pro shop.
This facility is home to 300 youth teams that compete during the spring, summer and fall along with high school baseball/softball, RSC sponsored Pueblo Azteca teams (both baseball and softball) and the Spradley Collegians which just joined new Front Range League.
